Every October First United hosts a pumpkin patch that serves the entire community.
Members of the congregation partner with members from Christian fraternities and sororities, along with other groups from the community, to sell pumpkins as we prepare for Halloween and all sorts of fall festivities.
Stay tuned to the church newsletter for more information as the season draws nearer.
Each year, as Christmas approaches, we gather information about some of the children in our community that might need a helping hand having a fruitful Christmas. The members of our congregation have lovingly sponsored several of these children each year and plan to continue this generous ministry for years to come.
As the seasons begin to get colder check back here or pay close attention to the church newsletter for your chance to participate!
Each year, in the weeks preceding Easter, the church family comes together and collects candy for our Easter Egg Hunt.
On Easter Sunday, between services, we gather together in the courtyard and, with the help of our amazing youth group, spread hundreds of Easter eggs around and let the children hunt them!
It's amazing watching the little ones light up with joy as they run around collecting every egg they can find. Our Easter Egg Hunt is the cherry-on-top of the amazing day that Easter already is.
