Scout Troop 18 and we meet on Mondays from 6:45 to 8 o’clock in the Fellowship Hall. They are chartered by the Lions Club

Daisy Troop 44502

Founded by Susan Pearce in 2022, Daisy Scout Troop has been going strong ever since. They pride themselves on earning badges and doing community service.

They usually meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 5-6:30pm at FUMCSM, but take the summers off, resuming in August when school starts.

Once a month they do a community service project that ranges from cleaniung the Playscape to visitting a local nursing home.

They focus on serving the community, growing, and having fun!

Other activities and resources in our community

School Fuel

School Fuel’s mission is to provide the "fuel" for a better learning environment by removing the pangs of hunger among the students in our classrooms. Over 75% of our school age children qualify for the federal free/reduced lunch program. Most of them go home on the weekends to little or no food.

Southside Community Center

Southside Community Center meets the needs of individuals and families of Hays County by helping them find resources for proper medical care, food, and shelter

Hays County Food Bank

Hays County Food Bank provides food at no cost to low-income households and those suffering from a food emergency due to job loss, medical emergencies and disasters.

Hays-Caldwell Women's Center

The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC) is a local non-profit who offers free and confidential services to adults, youth, and children who are victims of family violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and child abuse who live, work, or attend school in Hays and Caldwell Counties.  Services are available in English and Spanish.

United Campus Ministries

The United Campus Ministry at Texas State helps students grow spiritually in the love of Jesus, form authentic friendships, and discover God’s purpose in their lives

El Buen Pastor Methodist Church

El Buen Pastor is a predominantly Hispanic/Latino congregation that we are thrilled to do God's work in the community. They offer a bilingual service in Spanish and English on Sunday mornings.

Jackson Chapel Methodist Church

Jackson Chapel is a predominantly African American/Black congregation that currently worships in Lowman Chapel at FUMCSM. We are proud to call them our brothers and sisters in Christ!
