Help with Worship
Christian worship is based in liturgy, a greek word meaning "work of the people." While our ordained pastors play a specific role in our worship life, there are ways every person is invited to help with worship.
Scripture readers read the selected Bible verses for a given Sunday and lead the congregation in a prepared prayer or invitation to sing a hymn.
The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers who coordinate and assist with the sacred elements, special events, and regular worship of the church. Guild members often work behind the scenes on tasks such as arranging the altars and communion tables with appropriate cloths, vessels, elements and symbols of the season, providing comfort for families and coordinating activities during funerals.
Give Sanctuary flowers
The arrangements seen in worship at 11:00 a.m. can be donated in honor or memory of a loved one or in celebration of a special occasion. Contact Shelley in our church office (firstname.lastname@example.org | 512-392-6001) if you would like to provide flowers for a Sunday.
